Eater Boston to Launch Later This Morning
Later this morning, a well-known food blog, Eater, will join the local blogging fray with local arm Eater Boston, I was told yesterday. At the helm of the site is Aaron Kagan, a local writer whose work has regularly appeared in the Globe‘s food section. Kagan told me that Eater has been looking to come to Boston for quite some time.
For those unfamiliar, Eater is a national restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog with sites in more than one dozen cities; the hub is in New York. Readers can expect coverage of the local scene, in a tone that Kagan says will contain a “pinch of snark.” Check here this morning at around 10 a.m. to visit the brand-new site — first up, Kagan says, is a roundup of where to head for both traditional and non-traditional Thanksgiving meals.
9:15 Update: The site is live now. http://boston.eater.com/archives/2011/11/15/welcome-to-eater-boston.php
