Mondays are universally dreaded, while breakfast-for-dinner is universally beloved. A South End hangout is making the best of a bad situation: Mondays are now for brinner at the Gallows. Beginning tonight, the Gallows’ beloved brunch menu is now available alongside regular dinner offerings from 5-10 p.m.

“We love brunch, [but] we never get to eat it because we’re always working, so it was a no-brainer,” says the Gallows co-owner Rebecca Roth Gullo. The fun special is a way to “give some love to those in our business and mix it up for our regulars.”

To start, there’s more time in the week for favorites like beer-braised corned beef hash with rye toast, “sunrise” poutine, topped with country smoked ham, curds, and a sunny egg; and the Southern short stack of cornmeal griddle cakes laden with pulled pork, chipotle maple syrup, and black pepper maple butter. In the coming weeks, brunch-style specials will rotate among the offerings, too.

Don’t miss appropriate-for-day-drinking beverages like Buzz Overkill, with coffee-soaked whiskey, Averna, and vanilla simple syrup; and a gamut of Bloody Marys, too. Check out the brunch-cum-Monday-night-brinner menu below.
