Donald Trump Spent Inauguration Eve Name-Dropping Brady, Belichick, and Kraft

There’s a Patriots fan in the Oval Office.
On the eve of his inauguration as 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump name-dropped not only his pal Tom Brady—who the 70-year-old real estate mogul said called to congratulate him—but Patriots owner Bob Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick, too.
“[Kraft’s] got a great quarterback named Tom Brady, and a great coach named [Bill] Belichick,” Trump told campaign donors. “So good luck, Bob. Your friend Tom just called, he feels good. He called to congratulate us, he feels good. Good luck. Your going to do great things.”
“I outworked everybody, I think I outworked anyone who ever ran for office. I learned that from Belichick,” Trump said.

Trump’s effusive Patriots talk is nothing new, and coincided with Kraft’s glowing remarks in the New York Times. The Brookline native said Trump’s economic policies “are going to be great” for America.
