Find Free Fenway Franks Around Boston Today

Kayem (and your favorite Boston sports mascots) are celebrating National Hot Dog Month.

PROVIDED BY THE HIGHLAND STREET FOUNDATION for “Out of the Park”

You can skip the brown bag lunch today and Friday. Wally, the Red Sox’s friendly monster, is teaming up with fellow mascots Pat Patriot and Blade the Bruin to help New England-based Kayem hand out free hot dogs in celebration of National Hot Dog Month. Over the course of two days, they’ll be handing out 4,000 free franks throughout downtown Boston.

The Boston mascots will be assisted by costumed pedi-cab drivers, roaming the city between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The hot dog tour will begin at 100 Summer Street and continue throughout the Financial District during the lunch rush. You should also check the paper wrapping up with your frank, it could have a voucher for a variety of Kayem prizes—and Red Sox tickets.

Based in Chelsea, Kayem is the largest meat processor in New England, and the official sausage provider for many Major League Baseball teams, including the Sox. The company was founded in 1909, and it’s still family owned and operated.

Kayem is still planning to run the event in today’s rain, but follow along on social media and with the hashtag #Thanks4Franks to keep track of any changes.

Thursday, July 13, and Friday, July 4, 11 a.m.- 3 p.m., downtown Boston, kayem.com.
