Free Fitness Makes Its Return to the Seaport
The Seaport Sweat program will start May 29 with over 200 free classes.
Sweet, sweet summertime is so close we can almost feel it. And by almost we mean downgrading from winter parkas to a light jacket. But fear not, warmer weather is on the horizon and the announcement of Seaport Sweat, returning for its third year, is keeping our hopes alive that our skin will see the light of day again.
The annual program, which is organized by Seaport planners WS Development, offers more than 200 free fitness classes from May 29-October 12, so you can get in on all the class action without making the commitment. Enjoy options in your workouts? Seaport Sweat understands. Try workouts led by Eliza Shirazi from Kick it By Eliza, Kelly Brabants of Booty by Brabants, Monique Magno, Athena Concannon, Jenna Hill, and Edwin Frias.
All programs take place on the Seaport Common at 85 Northern Ave., where the energy is kept bumpin’ with beats from DJ Mark Sprino. New this year will be a weekend series, with 15 classes held on Saturday mornings—giving you even more opportunities to sweat.
Here’s the weekly schedule:
- Mondays: Kick it By Eliza at 5:30 p.m., plus Box and Body at 6:30 p.m.
- Tuesdays: Bootcamp at 5:30 p.m., plus Boxing at 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays: Kick it By Eliza at 5:30 p.m., plus Yoga at 6:30 p.m.
- Thursdays: Bootcamp at 5:30 p.m., plus Box and Body at 6:30 p.m.
- Fridays: Yoga at 12:00 p.m.
And for you weekend warriors, class runs every Saturday at 10 a.m., rotating between Booty By Brabants, Equinox, lululemon, Gronk Fitness, and JP Pilates Stroller Bootcamp.
As we wait patiently for the weather to run its course, mark your calendars in hopeful anticipation—the day will eventually come for free, outdoor fun.
