Inspired Interiors: A Family-Friendly Library

Create a cozy space for the whole family with a home library. Interior designer Liz Caan and her team handpicked pieces from the Boston Design Center that were both fun and functional. “We like to imagine how each person in the family would use and perceive the space,” says Caan. “The needs of a 5-year-old and a 15-year-old are different, so we tried to consider everyone.” Caan chose a clean sofa, hand-tufted rug, and soft textured pillows perfect for snuggles and sleepover parties. “We picked pieces that were comfortable and worked well together,” she says. “It’s like assembling a guest list for a dinner party; a cast of characters makes for a more interesting night.”
