Fitness on the esplanade

Our love for free summer fitness runs as deep as our love for summer patio chillin, refreshingly fruity seltzer, and obviously other free things. The options for free summer fitness just continue to roll out, and whether you’re near any one of the many Boston parks in the city, at the Seaport, or near the Esplanade, you have an option to work out outside.

The latest group offering free fitness during the warmer weather is the Esplanade association. The group will offer their Healthy, Fit & Fun free fitness series on the Esplanade to promote exercise and good health all summer long. Enjoy the beauty of the Esplanade while breaking a sweat in four different classes. The sessions will be offered Tuesday-Thursday from July 10 until September 6 and will be lead by local fitness professionals around town. Bring a friend and make some new friends—just don’t forget to pre-register to reserve your spot.

Here’s what to expect:

Zumba on Tuesdays: Join Healthworks at 6 p.m. for Zumba at Hatch Shell.

Sunset Yoga on Wednesdays: Join Sara DiVello for a yoga program at 6 p.m., all ability levels welcome, at Fiedler Field.

Run club on Wednesdays: At 6:30 p.m. runners will meet at Marathon Sports (671 Boylston St.) for a mileage route along the Esplanade and Charles River of their choosing (3,5, or 8 miles).

Bootcamp on Thursdays: Join Fit Body Boot Camp as they host their Afterburn workout at 6 p.m. at Fiedler Field.
