Check Out Our Fathers’ New Late-Night Bar Menu
Have cheesy pastrami fries and gin-rosé sangria for second dinner tonight.
If grabbing a seat at Our Fathers’ new outdoor bar isn’t already on your to-do list, here’s another reason to visit the modern Lower Allston delicatessen: Chef Jameson Poll introduces a fun, new late-night menu tonight.
Available going forward every Monday-Saturday from 10 p.m. until midnight, the six-dish list is full of playful riffs on Our Fathers’ modern meze and Israeli bistro fare. Garlicky falafel comes tucked into a house-made pita with green tehina, olives, and chopped veggies; there’s a beer-braised ’dog topped with sauerkraut, mustard, and pickles; and the Katz-rivaling pastrami from the outstanding deli next door is loaded atop French fries with Swiss cheese fondue and pickled mustard seed for the not-poutine we are here for.
The new menu is just available from the bar—but that stipulation includes the handful of stools on the patio looking into the mid-century, green-speckled terrazzo-topped gin joint.
Speaking of gin, Our Fathers has a new lineup of house cocktails set for the season, too. Try the Nina Simone, highlighting both Glendalough Irish and Citadelle barrel-aged Old Tom gins with pretty purple flowers; or the Mick Jagger, a still rosé sangria with Sipsmith London Dry Gin, cinnamon, peach, and lemon.
Our Fathers’ bar menu launches tonight. Check it out in full below.
