If you’re one of the select disciplined few who feel the need to cram in a workout on Thanksgiving Day—or if you just need a break from talking politics with extended family—you might find yourself in a desperate search for a fitness class somewhere in the city that’s actually still in session. This list of nine places hosting special Thanksgiving fitness classes in Boston includes everything from bootcamp to yoga. If you’re feeling particularly motivated, you could even hit up a turkey trot.

Thanksgiving Turkey Burn

If you really want to use all that fuel from your hefty Thanksgiving meal—and that second plate as well—head to Joe Moakley Field in South Boston for the Thanksgiving Turkey Burn bootcamp hosted by YofitYolife Bootcamp and Fitness. This 90 minute workout will utilize weights and equipment and is led by personal trainers in a small group setting. While challenging, this bootcamp is designed to be doable for all fitness levels.

Vinyasa and Slow Flow at YogaWorks

YogaWorks’s Back Bay location is hosting two special yoga classes on Thanksgiving morning. For the early risers, join Erica Bornstein at 8:30 a.m. for a 90 minute Vinyasa session. Adam McLean is also hosting a soulful slow flow session at 10:30 a.m. if a leisurely morning is more your speed.

Turkey Tabata at Burn

If you’re hoping to kickstart your Thanksgiving with a tough workout, but you don’t have much time to spare, look no further than the 60 minute Turkey Tabata class at Burn fitness studio. Turkey Burn at SoulCycle

SoulCycle is hosting special Thanksgiving classes at all of its Boston locations. These double-length classes offer 90 minutes of cycling in a festive group environment. It’s worth noting that the extra length means the classes will use two class credits and therefore cost more, but it’ll be more than worth it to pedal off that extra energy.

$60, 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m., various locations, soul-cycle.com

Pre-Stuff Reboot Ride at Recycle

For a shorter, but no-less-intense cycling workout, check out Recycle Studio’s Pre-Stuff Reboot Ride on Thanksgiving morning. This fast-paced, choreographed cycling program is available in 45 minute or hourlong sessions and also features intervals of work with arm weights to work the upper body while you pedal.

$10+, 8:30 a.m.-9:15 a.m. or 9:30 a.m.-10 a.m., 18 Union Park St., Boston, recycle-studio.com.

Gratitude Flow at Radiant Yoga

Give back to the community while you get your sweat on with Radiant Yoga’s annual Gratitude Flow on Thanksgiving morning. This year’s class will raise funds for the ALS Foundation and is specifically designed so that yoga students of all levels can get something out of it. You could even bring family members and get some exercise in together before the afternoon’s festivities.

Title Boxing offers 30 and 60 minute boxing classes all throughout the day on Thanksgiving, so there will always be time to fit in a workout. Title’s classes are high-intensity training sessions that use boxers’ exercises to provide a full-body workout while also building stamina and resilience. First-time students get a free class, perfect for out-of-town visitors.
