A Romantic Moonlit Wedding on Lake Winnipesaukee
A parting shot from Emory Griffith and Meaghan McCann's New Hampshire nuptials.
Nothing says romance like a moonlit wedding on the waterfront. Just ask Emory Griffith and Meaghan McCann, who tied the knot at New Hampshire’s Brewster Academy—a boarding school and summer camp set on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. “That’s where we met and fell in love,” says Emory, adding that the pair first crossed paths as coworkers at another nearby camp. “We would sneak away [to Brewster] for some of our first dates.”
For their August 2018 nuptials six years later, the now-Boston-based couple traded in the rustic cabins of their camp days for a chic white tent, pitched on the school’s lakeside lawn. After three hours of dancing in the moonlight, the newlyweds exited the celebration to the glow of sparklers, held by their friends and family. “We were just overcome by how special all of these people are to us,” Meaghan says. “It was a big moment.”
