On Sunday, November 3, 2019, City Mission hosted the ‘Cheers to 10 Years!’ Coat Boston Anniversary Celebration at Bella Luna & The Milky Way in Jamaica Plain, MA. Since 2009, more than 18,000 elementary school children in Boston have received new coats through City Mission’s Coat Boston program. At the celebration, guests enjoyed pizza, children’s activities organized by Wee the People, and live music from Framingham’s RPS Band.
City Mission believes that all children in Boston deserve to be warm and safe each winter. Coat Boston ensures that children from toddlers to teens have the warm winter coats they need. City Mission partners with Boston Public Schools and community organizations serving low-income families to ensure that all young Bostonians have a warm, safe winter.
