When it comes to weddings, color is a do — gowns now come in blush, light blue, even red. But, don’t fear: Even if you prefer to wear a traditional white dress, you can still incorporate pops of colors. Here are five flexible ideas for adding color to your bridal look:

Whether you go bold with black, or pretty with pink, the beauty of this option is that you can opt for a muted sash for the ceremony (such as ivory or mauve) and then change into a more dramatic belt for the reception.

Who says your bridal bling should be boring? A bright bracelet, pair of earrings, or necklace is a stunning juxtaposition to your clean, crisp gown. Keep it simple for the ceremony and then toss on some chunkier pieces for the party. Emerald is the Pantone color of the year and looks beautiful with an ivory dress.

A colorful pucker can be flirty and fresh — keep your eyes neutral, your cheek color subtle, and opt for a deep coral or deep plum. Just make sure that the rest of your face balances the color.
