When Kristin Paton, an interior designer, moved from London to Boston seven years ago, she quickly discovered a dearth of European-style home accessories in her new city. So last April, she took matters into her own hands, opening her own “design lab” with Peter Griglik, also a designer. Situated just outside of Harvard Square, Kristin Paton Home stocks an eclectic mix of antiques, reproduction furniture, lighting, and textiles. “It’s historical, intellectual, and a little bit unusual,” says Griglik. “We carry pieces that really become part of a lifestyle, rather than just sit there for show.”
