Boston Fashion Week: Michael De Paulo
Editor’s note: Boston magazine is a Tent at Boston Fashion Week partner.
Following the Mike and Ton show on Saturday, Michael De Paulo sent his new collection of evening wear down the runway. Old French songs from 1940s Paris set the mood for the show, and the gowns mixed old Hollywood glamor, Christian Dior’s “New Look,” and De Paulo’s signature architectural style. The jewelry from Shreve, Crump & Low and colorful makeup paired well with the ensembles. While some confections looked like they were on the way to prom, it was the sexier, sassier dresses and details like tiny pleats and draping that stole the show.
