Dr. Courtney Lavigne of Courtney Lavigne Dentistry is a cosmetic dentist with a private practice in Wayland, Massachusetts. After working as an associate dentist in four other practices, she started her own practice from scratch in 2014 with a vision to provide patient-oriented, exceptional dental care. Dr. Lavigne is the owner and sole dentist in the office.
What sets your business apart from others of its kind?
Whether a patient seeks us out to improve the esthetics of a single tooth or the entire mouth, we spend a significant amount of time learning who our patients are and what their unique goals are for their smile. We look at the mouth as a whole to provide beautiful, natural, predictable dentistry.
If you could give advice to other women hoping to start a business, what would it be?
It’s not an easy road, but it’s worth every second of blood, sweat, and tears that it takes to bring your vision to life. If you know who you are and what you have to offer, stay true to yourself and with hard work, the rest will fall into place. It remains more challenging, and in some respects more stressful than working for someone else, but the rewards have allowed me to never, ever look back.
