On January 18, he made his directorial debut at the Sundance Film Festival with the movie Sound City. The documentary focuses on the famous Sound City Recording studio in California, where legends like Tom Petty, Nirvana, Cheap Trick, and many more recorded. For one night only—which happens to be tonight—you will be able to see the movie at the Landmark Kendall Square Cinema. There are no other scheduled movie times for this area, so don’t miss out!

It’s been a long wait but the Jersey Boys are back in Boston. This weekend will mark the beginning of a five-week run at the CitiEmerson Colonial Theatre. In case you haven’t heard about Jersey Boys—which is highly unlikely—the story centers around four kids from Jersey (Franki Vallie and the Four Seasons) who go from rags to riches. For all musical/Broadway lovers, this is a must-see, even if you’ve seen it before. There’s really nothing like opening weekend.

Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal
Try mixing modern dance, ballet, and street dance all into one show. That’s what Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal does—also known as BJM. Even if you’re not a dance lover, this just might be a great show to ease you into the world of dance.

Yahtzee! This Friday, The Prudential Center will host Mega Game Nite XI. The night started on the premise of people from the area meeting up and playing various games.
