While most people were hiding indoors during this weekend’s storm, some couples chose to push their luck and move their relationships forward. From K-I-S-S-I-N-G, to engagement proposals, to winter weddings, and “blizzard babies” galore, check out how these couples celebrated Winter Storm Nemo:

Karen Willis and Greg Beal were one of several couples who would not let Nemo stop them from getting married. This couple, who wed in Portland, Maine, on Saturday, wanted to get married in a wintry wonderland. Karen told WGME, “I actually wished for snow on my wedding day—it’s all I ever wanted. My parents actually got married in a huge snowstorm in 1970 here in Portland, and I just thought it would have been the perfect day, so I started to see the forecast and I was so excited.” Photo via Brendan Fontaine/Twitter

However, of all the sweet moments captured this weekend, none could compete with “Little Nemo,” the nickname of Ericka Bueno and Joel Gonell’s new daughter Nohely Gonell. The Massachusetts National guard brought EMTs who assisted with the unplanned home birth in Worcester, after which parents and baby were taken to the hospital. Nohely was born at about 3 a.m. on Saturday. Photo via Dan Hausle/Twitter/WHDH
