Watch the Trailer for Runner Runner Starring Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck

It's basically 21 all over again.

In case you thought Justin Timberlake wasn’t suited for his role as sleazeball Napster founder Sean Parker in The Social Network, then maybe you’ll look forward to this next character he plays.

In Runner Runner, JT plays Richie Furst, an Ivy Leaguer who comes up with a bright idea. Sound familiar? But Furst is no Mark Zuckerberg. Firstly, he goes to Princeton, not Harvard. Secondly, his pet project isn’t Facebook or anything remotely like it—instead, he joins the world of online poker, but loses his tuition money.

And here’s where the movie turns into a remake of 21. Furst gets a new job working for Ben Affleck’s character Ivan Block, who runs an offshore online gambling site. Things get dicey though, as Block’s dangerous side emerges. (Later on in the trailer, watch Affleck push a guy into crocodile-infested waters.)

It really does look exactly like the 2008 film 21, except instead of being set in Las Vegas, Runner Runner was filmed in Puerto Rico—and instead of good guy–bad guy team Jim Sturgess and Kevin Spacey, Runner Runner has Timberlake and Affleck. Oh, and the obligatory police presence (played by Laurence Fishburne in 21)? That character will be played by Anthony Mackie.

Runner Runner, produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, is scheduled to premiere in September of this year.
