Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2013
As a contemporary art museum, the ICA is well-known for exhibitions that defy tradition. This weekend, the ICA will once again push boundaries—and not through an art installation. On Sunday, the museum will host round five of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series. Watch world-class divers plunge 90 feet into the Boston Harbor from the roof of the building—we dare you not to gasp.

Saint Anthony’s Feast
Make sure to at least take a stroll through the North End this weekend, when its streets will be lined with pushcarts of the finest Italian cuisine—arancini, pizza, pasta, cannoli, you name it—in honor of Saint Anthony’s Feast. Since 1919, the feast has become a yearly tradition by Italian immigrants from Montefalcione in Avellino. As always, there will be live entertainment, contests, cooking demonstrations, and a ten-hour procession of the Statue of Saint Anthony accompanied by marching bands and floats, so don’t be surprised if your stroll turns into a day-long—or even weekend-long—outing.

Free Fun Friday at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
On its second-to-last Free Fun Friday, the Highland Street Foundation invites you inside the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum—and the museum is offering you more than just free admission. Bring the kids into the Education Studio and Greenhouse Classroom for hands-on activities and art making, go on a self-guided scavenger hunt throughout the galleries, take a look at the outgoing Composite Landscapes exhibition, and learn from museum staff about how founder Isabella Gardner turned her historic mansion into one of Boston’s most celebrated art institutions.

Boston Day of Peace
On Saturday, Boston Day of Peace—with a mission statement based on the belief that “peace begins with each individual”—invites you to honor the victims of the 2013 Boston Marathon by coming together at Copley Square. The gathering will include yoga instruction, music performances, demonstrations by peace organizations like Massachusetts Peace Action and Veterans for Peace, as well as presentations by keynote speakers Pam Guyer and Boston City Councilor Charles C. Yancey.
