Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen Are Selling Their Los Angeles Mega-Mansion
Just when you thought the prettiest couple in America had sold their souls to the Hollywood Hills, power couple Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen surprise us again.
The married pair completed their brand new mega-mansion in Brentwood, Calif., a little more than a year ago, but have now put the property back on the market—for a whopping $50 million.
The couple dropped $11 million on the property back in 2008 and spent the next four years building the 22,000 square-foot home. Of course, the fortress was complete with a state-of-the-art home gym, eight bedrooms, a six-car garage, a lagoon-shaped swimming pool paired with a spa, and antiques collected from around the globe. As Gisele promised, the entire estate is eco-friendly, hence the solar panels that cover the roof.
Ultimately, the place is as tricked out as celebrity mansions come—Architectural Digest’s photos speak for themselves. All together, the stunning abode cost the couple a hefty $40 million. And yet, it’s hardly even been used.
Instead, Tom and Gisele will stay in Boston, and it looks like they aren’t planning to leave any time soon. Although Brady sold his own condo in Back Bay in 2012, the two are currently invested in another 14,300-square-foot property in Brookline for another $20 million (modest, amiright?). They also bought a $14 million condo in New York City late last year (because #fashion).
As much of a surprise as this is, the bigger surprise will come when some sucker throws down the $50 mill for Tom Brady’s (hardly lived-in) house. Eccentric is an understatement for a four-acre stone manor surrounded by a moat. It’s the best thing next to a palace, fit only for the royally good-looking.
The takeaway here is this: East Coast > West Coast. But we already knew that.
