AMP Radio Announces 2014 Birthday Bash Concert Lineup
Add this set to your Boston summer to-do list. On June 15, 103.3 AMP Radio will host its second annual *free* Birthday Bash concert.
Unlike last year when Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Jason Derulo, and Sammy Adams performed at City Hall Plaza, this year’s event will take place at Patriot Place in Foxborough.
Though attending is free, AMP will give out “Party Pit” and meet-and-greet passes—enter online until June 12—so lucky winners can get up close and personal with this year’s performers.
Without further ado, here’s your 2014 Birthday Bash lineup:
Iggy Azalea
As if being a “fancy” rapper wasn’t enough, this Aussie is also a model. Her new album, The New Classic, debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart . She’ll return to Boston for AMP’s Birthday Bash after playing the House of Blues in April.
Austin Mahone
Last year, we got Ariana Grande. This year’s tween attraction is Austin Mahone, whose hair sometimes resembles that of Justin Beiber’s. The 18-year-old from Texas, who just released a new song this week called “All I Ever Need,” has nearly six million followers on Twitter.
Little Mix
This British girl group formed in 2011 on The X Factor. Their first album, DNA, debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, breaking the record for highest debut album ranking by a British girl group (previous record-holder: the Spice Girls).
G.R.L.
Robin Antin, who also brought us the Pussycat Dolls, put together this girl group. The band opened for Pitbull and Zedd at the iTunes Festival at SXSW and is featured on Pitbull’s new single “Wild Wild Love.”
MKTO
The pop duo Malcolm Kelley and Tony Oller embark on the American Dream Tour in late June, and will join Demi Lovato’s world tour with Christina Perri in the fall.
AMP Radio’s Birthday Bash takes place June 15 starting at 3 p.m. at Patriot Place in Foxborough. For more info, visit ampbirthdaybash.com.
