Surf’s up! The lineup for the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular is here, and the headliners are none other than “America’s Band,” The Beach Boys.

The California group, which first came together in 1961, is known for a slew of “beach rock” hits including “Surfin’ Safari,” “I Get Around,” “Good Vibrations,” and—who can forget?—”Kokomo.” Considered by many to be one of the greatest bands of all time, the group has seen its fair share of breakups and makeups over the years, but in 2012 they celebrated their 50th anniversary with their 29th studio album, That’s Why God Made the Radio.

The Beach Boys embody summer fun, and are the perfect group to bring the Boston Pops’s Fourth of July celebration to life. Look forward to plenty of songs with the words “surf” and “summer” in them—and the odds are in our favor that they’ll sing “Surfin’ U.S.A.” for the Fourth. Other performers that will join the Beach Boys on stage at the Hatch Shell include singer-actress Megan Hilty (Sean Saves the World, Smash), lead principals from The Phantom of the Opera—which opens June 26 at the Boston Opera House—and the Boston Children’s Chorus.

The Fireworks Spectacular, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2013, attracts thousands to the Hatch Shell each year, with a concert only on July 3, and a full day of music on July 4 starting at noon. The celebration concludes with fireworks over the Charles, and the music paired with this year’s fireworks show includes the breakaway hit from Disney’s Frozen, “Let It Go.”

The schedule for the 2014 Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular is as follows:
