A&E to Air Wahlburgers Summer Special
The second season of Wahlburgers may not air for a while, but fans of America’s favorite family on reality TV won’t have to wait too long in the meantime.
A&E is presenting a “summer special” episode of Wahlburgers on Sunday, June 29, in which Donnie heads home to Boston to join mother Alma and brother Paul for a “Wahlberg family reunion” and also to support brother Jim as he runs the 2014 Boston Marathon.
The family eagerly rallies on Boylston Street as they watch runners finish the race, including a couple of Donnie’s New Kids on the Block bandmates, Danny Wood and Joey McIntyre.
Donnie showed his love via Twitter on Marathon Monday. Below, Donnie’s tweets of support for his brother and bandmates, as well as a photo with Boston Police officers Manny Canuto and Diamantino “D” Araujo—who starred in his TNT docu-series Boston’s Finest.

In the special summer episode of Wahlburgers, Alma plans to have a personal medal made for Jim for finishing the marathon, but complications supposedly arise when she tries to have the award delivered in time for the race.
Paul plans to help prepare the food for the “big family reunion,” but this includes trying to learn the secret recipe for Uncle Archie’s meatballs—a recipe that Archie is protective of.
Meanwhile in Marky Mark Land, he tries to get his funky bunch Johnny “Drama” and Henry “Nacho” involved with acting, but the job turns out to be much different than the two expected.
The Wahlburgers summer special airs Sunday, June 29, at 10 p.m. on A&E.
