On Tuesday, Boston Casting put out a notice calling for extras interested in being part of the filming process for Ted 2, starring Mark Wahlberg, which recently went into production in Boston. “[We are] seeking people to work as extras in the upcoming comedy, Ted 2. We are seeing all types, 18 and up,” the casting notification said.
Boston Casting is also looking for some more specific types for the Saturday, July 26, event. According to details on the flier sent out Tuesday, they’re also seeking actors with a love for taking part in cosplay. “We are looking for people with fantastic costumes based on movie and comic book heroes,” Boston Casting representatives said. “If you dress up, we want to see you and your costume!”
The auditions for a chance to become a background extra will be held at Boston Casting headquarters on Braintree Street, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The company is urging people that show up to get there early, and bring a headshot and other relative information if they want to be considered for filming.
This call-out for extras marks the second time the movie has held auditions in the last week. On July 9, Boston Casting was in search of people with thick Boston accents, and tough-guy attitudes that are bred from “Revere, Eastie, Southie, etc.,” the last audition flier said.
Below is the flier with details about the open auditions:
