Comics Come Home 2014 to Take Place at TD Garden

For the 20th year come November, Comics Come Home will bring big-name comedians to Boston for what has become the country’s longest running comedy benefit for the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care.
Denis Leary—Worcester native, proud Masshole, Emerson College grad, Spider-Man’s guilty conscience, dysfunctional firefighter, and distant cousin of Conan O’Brien—will host again, this time at TD Garden. Leary will be joined by Bill Burr, Lenny Clarke, Jimmy Fallon, Craig Ferguson, Jim Gaffigan, Marc Maron, and more to be announced.
True to the name of the event, many of these comics are from Massachusetts. We all know that Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon really, really, really, really, really loves the Red Sox (cue obligatory Fever Pitch link), but you’ll also be pleased to know that Bill Burr was born in Canton, Lenny Clarke’s from Cambridge, and Marc Maron went to BU. Scottish-born Craig Ferguson is obviously not from Boston, but he is the outgoing host of The Late, Late Show, and his fans are very sad about his departure indeed.
Since its first year, Comics Come Home has grossed some $6 million to help cancer patients and families. Proceeds from the 20th annual show will in part benefit the renovation of the Marlene Neely Endoscopy Suite at Tufts Medical Center.
