Justin Timberlake Accepts Two Boston Marathon Survivors’ Ice Bucket Challenge; Jimmy Fallon and the Roots Accept [Updated]

Jimmy Fallon and The Roots accepted Justin Timberlake’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Tuesday night’s Tonight Show along with comedian Rob Riggle and Horatio Sanz.

Highlights:

• Fallon and The Roots decided do the Ice Bucket Challenge and donate money to ALS research.
• Riggle nominates Horatio Sanz (formerly of Saturday Night Live), who ends up joining everyone on stage for the challenge.
• Fallon nominates the New York Jets.
• Upon pouring a bucket of ice water over his head, Questlove’s hair miraculously works like a ShamWow.

Looks like everyone and their mother’s lap dog is getting in on this #IceBucketChallenge—the online sensation all over your newsfeed that is raising awareness and money to fund research for ALS—and that includes politicians, a Boston writer, athletes, and now the mighty Justin Timberlake.

The President of Pop took his challenge to both Instagram and Facebook, where he wrote:

Patrick Downes and Jessica Kensky are a local married couple and Boston Marathon survivors, both of whom were injured in the 2013 bombings. Downes and Kensky both raced in and finished the 2014 Boston Marathon together on hand cycles. Timberlake also gives a shout out to Kensky’s labrador retriever, Rescue, who has been Kensky’s service dog since late last year throughout the couple’s recovery.
