Time to spread the love. On Tuesday, MassMutual Life Insurance Company is launching “Love Is a Gift,” a fun new social initiative that turns your stories into money for Easter Seals.

Here’s how it works: Go to LoveIsaGift.com anytime through November 30, upload a photo of you with a loved one—parent, child, sibling, partner, friend, whoever—and share a brief explanation of why your companion is so important. You can also do this by uploading a photo story on Instagram with the hashtag #LoveIsaGift (don’t forget to make your profile public!) For each story uploaded, MassMutual will donate $1 to Easter Seals, up to $50,000.

Not a bad incentive to take a selfie, right?

MassMutual will set up a photo booth on the Rose Kennedy Greenway near the Greenway Carousel on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Passersby are invited to stop by, take a photo with loved ones, and share why their companions are so important to them. Bonus: on-site participants will also receive a free cookie courtesy of Perfecto’s Caffe. MassMutual will also set up the photo booth at the Topsfield Fair this weekend, Friday through Sunday.

Easter Seals is an organization that provides assistance to people with autism and other disabilities and special needs. Funds benefit patients, their families, and caregivers.
