Mindy Kaling Celebrated Diwali with B.J. Novak and the Mindy Project Team
Nobody wants to hang out without Mindy Kaling, and that includes her team from The Mindy Project, which joined their confident leader in a celebration of Diwali, the Hindu “festival of lights,” on Thursday. The fete included traditional food and the group even drew some chalk Rangolis.
Kaling Instagramed several photos from the party, which answered many of our questions about Kaling and co., including the following:
• Does the folks at The Mindy Project get along in real life? Answer: Yes.
• Are Kaling and Ike Barinholtz, who plays Morgan Tookers on the show, BFFs in real life? Answer: Yes.
• Finally—and to some folks, most importantly—do Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak still hang out together. Answer: Yes! Novak was also present at the Diwali celebration, and the mere reminder of their on-screen relationship on The Office was enough to make some Office fanatics freak out with delight (Ryan + Kelly 4Eva!).
