Here’s the Official Black Mass Trailer

We’ve seen the first photos and a teaser trailer, and now the first official Black Mass trailer is here.

Black Mass follows Johnny Depp as South Boston crime boss Whitey Bulger, and also stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Billy Bulger, and Joel Edgerton as John Connolly. Kevin Bacon, Breaking Bad’s Jesse Plemmons, Sienna Miller, Parks and Rec star Adam Scott, and Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson are also starring.

The movie is based on the book written by Globe journalists Dick Lehr and Gerard O’Neill, and was shot in and around Boston in 2014. Black Mass held a local casting call for extras last April, and the Boston University Band also shot a special cameo in a St. Patrick’s Day Parade scene in June.

Black Mass opens in theaters September 18.
