“It’s definitely a production. No half-steppin’. We don’t do that many shows, so when we do it, we do it right,” singer Mayer Hawthorne tells us. He’s talking about Tuxedo, his new boogie-funk collaboration with producer Jake One, who’ll be gracing City Hall Plaza tonight for Boston magazine’s Best Fest—but he might as well be talking about Best Fest itself.
