Jesse Eisenberg Is Bringing His Book Tour to Boston

Lex Luthor is coming to town and, no, it's not for a showdown with Bat-fleck.

Before he takes on Ben Affleck’s Caped Crusader as the villainous Lex Luthor in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie next year, actor Jesse Eisenberg will be making a stop in Boston this fall.

Rather than causing mayhem as the soon-to-be rival of Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel, Eisenberg will be in town signing copies of his new fiction book Bream Gives Me Hiccups at the Brattle Theatre on November 19. The event is being organized by the Harvard Book Store.

The actor, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of famed Harvard drop out and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network, is turning out be a pretty good writer as well. Eisenberg has been a frequent contributor for The New Yorker and is an accomplished playwright with three plays already under his belt.

He was also recently a co-star in the David Foster Wallace biopic The End of the Tour, which featured Jason Segel as the legendary author. Perhaps the Hollywood A-listers swapped writing advice, considering that the How I Met Your Mother star is a fellow budding author who’s set to appear at a Harvard Book Store event this year as well.

If you plan on attending the November signing, sadly, you’ll have to leave your Lex Luthor memorabilia at home. Eisenberg will only be autographing copies of his new book as well as his plays AsuncionThe Revisionist, and The Spoils.

Tickets for the event will go on sale October 13 and will come with a copy of Bream Gives Me Hiccups. $5 tickets to just the signing without the book will go on sale at 9 a.m. on October 27.
