There’s a New Graffiti Mural in Boston, Courtesy of Justin Bieber
Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood plays host to a large scope of public artworks, many of them colorful murals painted on the sides of businesses.
Last week, a new graffiti mural popped up on the side of Ugi’s Pizza at 69 Heath St. The new artwork comes to JP courtesy of pop star Justin Bieber.
Bieber recently commissioned graffiti artists to create murals around the world, each revealing a track from his upcoming fourth studio album Purpose. The singer posted photographs of all the murals on Instagram, encouraging followers to scout them out in person.
In addition to Boston, the artworks popped up in Sydney, London, Stockholm, Paris, Oslo, Berlin, New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Toronto, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver, and Los Angeles.
The Boston edition highlights “Where Are Ü Now,” his chart-topping collaboration with Skrillex and Diplo. The mural was painted by Kem5 and Deme5.
Bieber’s Instagrams only pinpoint the city each mural is located in, not its exact address, but it didn’t take long for local fans to figure it out, and a few dedicated Beliebers have already made the pilgrimage to the pizza joint in JP:
