Bernie Sanders Does the ‘Hotline Bling’ in Parody Video on the Ellen DeGeneres Show
Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders is the latest victim of the “Hotline Bling” craze thanks to a new parody video created by the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
After breaking out his real life dance moves on a recent episode, DeGeneres decided to give the senator from Vermont a Drake-style makeover on Tuesday’s installment of Ellen. While Sanders didn’t make a return appearance, the talk show did a pretty good job of splicing in footage of the candidate into a clip of the music video.
It’s somewhat cringeworthy to watch, however, it’s still better than Matt Damon’s sad attempt at the “nae nae.”
“Alright Hillary, it’s your move,” DeGeneres joked after showing the video to her studio audience.
Hopefully Hillary Clinton doesn’t take the talk show host up on her offer, although we wouldn’t mind seeing Tom Brady get another shot at the “Hotline Bling.” Somehow, Sanders’ parody video is a little less goofy than the one featuring the Patriots star.
