Art Protests We’d Like to See

Boston native Max Geller is a man on a mission to alert the world to his disgust with Pierre-Auguste Renoir, whom he considers the schmalziest of the French Impressionists. In October, Geller launched the first of a series of anti-Renoir protests in front of the MFA, and he’s since taken the fight to museums in New York, Chicago, and Pasadena. Empowered by Geller’s zeal, we came up with a few more art protests we’d like to see around town.
