Actor and WWE star John Cena gave fans a taste of his Boston accent on Tuesday night’s episode of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The Massachusetts native broke out his inner Bostonian while chatting with the late night host about his humble beginnings as an oiled-up, bodybuilding youth.

“I’m from West Newbury, north of Boston,” Cena said with a heavy (and pretty cliché) Boston accent. “It’s wicked up there. It’s awesome, crushing beers.”

After trading a few laughs with Fallon, the former professional wrestling champion opened up about his time as an extremely tanned and muscle-bound competitor.

While he’s definitely not as tan as he used to be, Cena joked that not much has changed since he left his speedo days behind for a career inside the WWE ring.

“I made the stupid decision that I wanted to go on stage with a bunch of other guys, oil myself,” Cena said. “But I’m over it because now for a job I go out on stage with other dudes and oil myself up. What am I doing with my life?”
