Conan O’Brien Is Coming to Harvard

It may not be as exciting as traveling to Qatar with Michelle Obama, but late night host Conan O’Brien is heading back to Cambridge this week to speak at Harvard.

The Brookline-born comedian, who graduated magna cum laude from the university in 1985, will return to his alma mater on Friday, February 12 for a conversation with Harvard president Drew Faust about the values of a liberal arts education. Only members of the Harvard community will be able to attend the chat, however, fans can check out a live stream at harvard.edu/livestream.

The Conan host was previously in the Boston-area last September when he joined fellow former Harvard Lampoon president Alexis Wilkinson and several other guests at a fundraising event at the JFK Library.

As always, expect O’Brien to crack a few jokes when he comes to town, like he did in his classic speech to the Harvard Class of 2000.

“The last time I was invited to Harvard it cost me $110,000. So I was reluctant to show up,” O’Brien joked during the speech, which you can check out below.

The conversation with Conan O’Brien will take place on Friday, February 12 at 4 p.m., at the Sanders Theatre, 45 Quincy Street, Cambridge. For more information, check out harvard.edu.
