Sorry, Dallas.

Bill Simmons probably didn’t make any fans in Texas after pulling a Patriots-themed prank at WrestleMania 32 on Sunday night.

The Marlborough native and avid wrestling fan wasn’t afraid to show off his allegiance to the team while sitting in the crowd for the WWE’s big event at AT&T Stadium, home to the Dallas Cowboys.

When the camera panned to Simmons during the broadcast, the Boston sports guru gleefully showed everyone the Patriots logo using his cell phone, which earned him a chorus of boos from the many Cowboys fans at the arena.

While the fans in attendance weren’t entertained by Simmons’ antics, they definitely got an exciting show from the many locals who stepped into the ring.

West Newbury native John Cena made his long-awaited return from injury to back up Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a memorable showdown against the Wyatt Family. Former Celtics star Shaquille O’Neill also made an appearance alongside a dozen other wrestlers for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Unfortunately, some locals didn’t have a great night at Wrestlemania, including New Hampshire native Triple H, who lost the WWE Heavyweight Championship match to Roman Reigns. Boston’s Sasha Banks came up empty handed as well following a loss in the WWE Women’s Championship match.
