Nick Offerman Will Perform on Martha’s Vineyard This Summer
Local theater fans won’t have to travel all the way to New York in order to get a taste of Broadway this summer.
Organizers recently announced that producer Mark Cortale will be bringing the popular Broadway @ concert series to the Performing Arts Center on Martha’s Vineyard later this year. A number of big names—including former Parks and Recreation actor Nick Offerman—are set to perform on the island when the series debuts its inaugural season.
Kicking off the string of shows will be Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award nominated entertainer Vanessa Williams, who will be performing alongside pianist and host Seth Rudetsky on Saturday, July 9. Rudetsky will return for Wicked star Megan Hilty’s show on Saturday, July 16.
Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth will appear at the Performing Arts Center for two shows on Sunday, August 14, accompanied by Mary-Mitchell Campbell on piano.
Another highlight of the summer schedule will be when Offerman and his two-time Emmy-winning wife Megan Mullally bring their Summer of 69: No Apostrophe show to the venue on Monday, August 29.
Rounding out the lineup is two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone. She’s set to close out the series during Labor Day weekend on Friday, September 2 with her show Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda, alongside music director Joseph Thalken on piano.
Proceeds from the Broadway @ the Performing Arts Center series will benefit the Tyler Clementi Foundation.
