Joe Perry’s in an NBA Playoffs Commercial

We’re not sure how we missed this a few months ago, but Hollywood Vampires is not the only current supergroup featuring Joe Perry. The Aerosmith guitarist has began popping up in National Basketball Association playoff commercials with an unlikely cast of characters — Pitbull, Robin Thicke, and blink-182’s Travis Barker.
It may be weirder than Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton joining Thin Lizzy. And may be more embarrassing than Steven Tyler’s country music career.
Apparently, the song, “Bad Man”, is Pitbull’s, and the track officially dropped in February (it was premiered at the Grammys, according to Ultimate Classic Rock, but was the closing song, so forgive us for tuning out by then). But as the NBA Playoffs begin to heat up — our Celtics are playing the Atlanta Hawks in a first-round matchup, with mixed results — “Bad Man” is starting to get some national airtime.
Watch the NBA clip below. And catch Perry’s Hollywood Vampires, with Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper, when they play Foxwoods Resort Casino on July 2.
