Lena Dunham Honors Girls Actor Who Died in a Framingham Car Crash
Actress Lena Dunham took to Instagram on Wednesday to honor Girls actor Nick Lashaway, who died in a three-car crash in Framingham over the weekend.
According to MetroWest Daily News, the 28-year-old actor from Hopkinton was found unconscious at the wheel of a burning Jeep on Sunday, May 8. After being pulled out of the vehicle by a retired Framingham police officer and his two sons, he was given CPR before being taken to the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.
Lashaway was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital, according to police.
The actor appeared opposite Dunham in a season 2 episode of Girls as a character named Frank. Lashaway’s credits also include roles in the Justin Timberlake starring movie In Time, Steve Carell’s The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and Miley Cyrus’s The Last Song.
In a tribute posted on Instagram, Dunham said, “We are sending love to his family and friends and feeling such gratitude for his gifts.”
The other two drivers involved in the incident on Badger Road were taken to separate area hospitals to be treated for their injuries.
