Ben Affleck Freaked Out Over Deflategate on Bill Simmons’s New HBO Show
Bill Simmons’s new HBO show Any Given Wednesday started off with a bang as Ben Affleck stopped by to deliver an epic, expletive-filled rant over Tom Brady’s Deflategate suspension.
The actor and avid Boston sports fan did not mince his words as he lambasted the NFL for its treatment of the Patriots quarterback.
“Deflategate is the ultimate bull—t f—ing outrage of sports ever,” Affleck said.
The Batman v Superman star was more mad Affleck than sad Affleck and kept freaking out over the controversy as the conversation continued.
“This is a conspiracy of people working inside the NFL who all come from organizations that Tom Brady whipped their ass over the last 10 or 15 years,” Affleck said. “So these are guys who work for the f—ing Jets, Broncos, and everybody else who are now going like, ‘Get him! Hang him!’ because they now have some slight, flimsy f—ing pretense.”
He later added, “We’ve done anything to address this crisis of domestic violence in the NFL, but the f—ing football better not be 8 percent lighter.”
Affleck also revealed during the chat that if he ever got a chance to direct a Deflategate movie, he’d love to play Brady on screen. Unfortunately for the actor, the Patriots quarterback previously said that he wants Matt Damon to play him in a movie.
“How could I ever play a movie like this and not play touchdown Tom Brady?” Affleck said. “That would be my heaven.”

Update, June 24: After receiving some flak over the interview, Affleck and Simmons took to their social media channels to defend their energetic chat.
BTW – we taped AGW in the late-AM, Ben got fired up about DeflateGate during the convo, that's it.

(1/2) For those of you keeping score at home, I gave exactly 18 f*cks about my Pats. Upon reflection, 12 probably would have been sufficient

(2/2) We Boston fans have always been known for our subtlety. One of my favorite interviews; hope you get to see the entire episode. #GoPats
