More Boston Book Festival 2016 Presenters Announced
The 2016 Boston Book Festival continues to line up an impressive array of presenters. After an initial group featuring Susan Faludi and Frank Gehry, an additional batch of literary standouts has now been announced.
That list includes New England chronicler Richard Russo, who recently released a followup to Nobody’s Fool entitled Everybody’s Fool (we see what you did with the titles there, Mr. Russo). Boston’s own Ben Mezrich, author of Bringing Down the House and The Accidental Billionaires, will also appear. He has a new book about America’s UFO sightings, called The 37th Parallel, due out in September.
Other guests include Jennifer Weiner, author and expert-level Bachelorette live tweeter, as well as feminist writer Lindy West, who recently published the memoir Shrill, and Luvvie Ajayi of the megapopular Awesomely Luvvie blog, whose book, I’m Judging You, comes out this September.
Rounding out the list are Harvard Business School’s Amy Cuddy, director of the MIT Media Lab Joi Ito, digital media expert and MIT professor Sherry Turkle, author David Macaulay, MSNBC correspondent and author Joy-Ann Reid, business strategist and Harvard Business school professor Michael Porter, television and radio host Faith Salie, and journalist and social commentator Mychal Denzel Smith.
You can see the full list of presenters and their bios here. In the meantime, you may want to just block off all of the weekend of October 15 in your calendar right about now.
