Attorney General Maura Healey has a new ally in her fight against assault weapons in Massachusetts: Captain America.

Marvel movie star Chris Evans made a statement with his post on Twitter Monday. The actor offered support to Healey for her efforts to enforce the Bay State’s ban on assault weapons.

Last month, the state’s top prosecutor announced that she would be cracking down on the manufacturers of “copycat” assault rifles. Healey is taking aim at the companies for producing the weapons, which are slightly modified in order to avoid the state’s ban on high-powered guns.

Always appreciative of having another superheroic friend in her corner, Healey thanked Evans in a tweet of her own, accompanied by the hashtag #StandWithCap.

This isn’t the first time that Evans has gotten political on social media.

The Massachusetts native previously tweeted his support for the members of Congress who staged a sit-in over gun control legislation. He also threw a ton of shade at Donald Trump’s campaign and the GOP for how they handled the Republican National Convention last month.

Maybe this means Captain America wants to make a run in politics sometime in the future. That would be pretty awesome to see, as long as the Star-Spangled Avenger isn’t secretly working for H.Y.D.R.A. again.
