Rob Lowe Is Filming Super Troopers 2 in Boston
It looks like Super Troopers 2 has added a huge star to its cast.
According to Deadline, actor Rob Lowe has joined the upcoming sequel to the 2001 cult classic comedy, which recently commenced filming around Boston. Lowe is reportedly playing a character named Guy Le Franc, an ex-hockey player turned mayor of a Canadian town.

Shooting SuperTroopers feels like Wayne’s World or Austin Powers did. This one could be really special. Insane. Funny. Quotable for days.

The Super Troopers followup got the green light after raising more than $4.5 million through crowdfunding efforts last year. The film is set to reunite original writers and cast members Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske, and will once again feature Chandrasekhar in the director’s chair.
