New Kids on the Block to Play Fenway Park Next Summer
The New Kids on the Block are taking over Fenway Park for a super-sized, “Summertime” show next year.
Donnie Wahlberg and the rest of Boston’s beloved boy band appeared on the Today show Tuesday morning to announce their upcoming Total Package tour, which stops at the iconic home of the Red Sox on Saturday, July 8. In addition to the “Hangin’ Tough” crew, the tour will include performances by fellow ’90s megastars Paula Abdul and Boyz II Men.
“We’re playing places like Fenway Park, Hollywood Bowl, amazing places,” Wahlberg said on Today. “But we’re not going alone.”
The NKOTB frontman added that the tour will be Abdul’s first in over two decades.

The upcoming show won’t be the first time that Blockheads have taken over Fenway Park, as the band previously played the historic venue in 2011 alongside the Backstreet Boys while part of the NKOTBSB supergroup. NKOTB has also performed with Boyz II Men in the past during the 2013 Package tour, which included 98 Degrees as well.
Tickets to the Total Package tour go on sale Saturday, November 19, at 10 a.m.
