Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen Will Co-Chair the Met Gala
Fresh off winning his fifth Super Bowl ring, Tom Brady and wife Gisele Bundchen will co-chair the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Met Gala later this year.
Hosted by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, the swanky New York fundraiser will spotlight Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo, whose work “challenges conventional notions of beauty, good taste, and, ultimately, fashionability.” It will be the Met Gala’s first exhibition honoring a single designer since Yves Saint Laurent in 1983.
The Patriots quarterback and Brazilian supermodel have been regulars at the Met Gala for several years, but missed last year’s fête to vacation in Cuba’s sunnier climes.
I took this picture of Tom Brady and @gisele at the 2014 Met gala. I thought it couldn’t get any more spectacular. Until tonight. pic.twitter.com/7reFEkHsYc

Brady and Bundchen will share co-chair duties with pop superstars Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams, as well as Kawakubo and former ambassador to Japan, Caroline Kennedy. For the well-coiffed gala-goers’ sake, let’s hope Boston’s preeminent power couple doesn’t impose its dietary restrictions on the evening’s offerings.
