Go Back to the Future with the Museum of Science
Think you’ve got what it takes to get your DeLorean up to 88 miles per hour and travel back to the future? You can prove it with a throwback trivia game on the Museum of Science’s website. The game, animated (of course) in the finest of ’80s style 8-bit animation, asks the user a few pop culture/technology trivia questions. Get enough questions right, and send Marty and Doc back to 1985 as they drive past some of Boston’s landmarks. Even the music will sound familiar to anyone who spent a childhood feeding quarters into an arcade game.
The trivia game is in honor of the museum’s new “Popnology” exhibit. Visitors can learn all the ways pop culture has influenced technology, with displays exploring the relationship between what might seem like an outlandish invention of the movies, and what inventions we actually get in real life. And yes, the exhibit does have an actual DeLorean in it.
Blink and you’ll miss it—it’s the DeLorean from the Back to the Future films! Our exhibits team is hard at work installing #POPnology! pic.twitter.com/TQWBWn7B3n
