Our Best of Boston Readers’ Poll this year is once again focused on the people who have made our city a better place.
This time last year, life felt very different. Schools had only been closed for a few weeks, masks were optional, and we were still wiping our groceries and takeout containers down with disinfectant wipes. But if there’s one thing that’s remained constant over the past year, it’s this: There are heroes among us, working hard every day to keep us safe, healthy, and well fed during the worst crisis of our lifetime—and they deserve to be recognized.
As part of our annual Best of Boston issue, this year we’ll be celebrating the people in our community who have embodied the Best of Boston spirit during the pandemic: the healthcare workers, delivery drivers, chefs, volunteers, and more who have stepped up in exceptional ways during these challenging times. But in order to do that, we need your help: If you believe one of your friends, family members, or colleagues is deserving of this honor, please click on over to our nomination form and tell us about them. The deadline for entries is April 19, after which we’ll select several heroes for a spotlight in the July issue—and give them the thanks they so rightly deserve.
