NKOTB Announces ‘The Main Event’ Tour with TLC, Nelly

Fun news out of the NKOTB camp Tuesday on Good Morning America: the New Kids are going on tour again, and this time they’ll be joined by TLC—minus the L, RIP— and Nelly.

Yup, you read that right—TLC and Nelly! Scrubs! Hot in Herre! Air Force Ones! Once again the New Kids have everyone asking, “What year is it?!” We haven’t been this surprised and excited about an NKOTB collaboration since, well, the last NKOTB collab with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men in 2013.

No matter. Be it the ’80s, ’90s, or 2000s, you can be sure the Blockheads will come out.

TLC joined the New Kids on GMA and Nelly appeared via video to announce “The Main Event,” which, let’s be honest, is a much, much better name than “The Package Tour.”

The new 40-city tour through the US and Canada this summer will have a boxing/wrestling theme including a 360-degree stage setup, bar seating around the stage for VIP fans, and other fun features that will make it “the most elaborate stage we’ve ever done in the history of our band,” said Donnie Wahlberg.
