Jennifer Lawrence Found No Joy in Filming During Boston’s Historic Winter

'It was so miserable.'

Jennifer Lawrence, like everyone else in Boston, did not enjoy the city’s historic snowfall this past winter.

The Academy Award-winning actress was in town filming director David O. Russell’s upcoming movie Joy earlier this year, and was visibly not happy with the cold and bleak weather (or the paparazzi).

In a recent interview with Vogue, J. Law opened up about her “miserable” time in Boston and explained how she and Russell would feebly try to keep each other’s spirits up as the seemingly never ending snow just kept falling down.

“It was so miserable,” Lawrence said. “David and I kept saying, ‘Merry Christmas’ to each other to try to make ourselves feel better, but it didn’t work.”

In addition to braving a winter in Boston, Lawrence had a tough time on the Joy set thanks to an alleged screaming match between her and the director.

While Lawrence initially denied the rumor in a Facebook post, she finally confessed all of the juicy details to Vogue and admitted that the fight was actually her fault.

J. Law was apparently in a bad mood after catching the flu and, at one point, just exploded at Russell.

“I was f—ing mean on set,” Lawrence said. “I wasn’t mean to anybody but David. I would never be mean to somebody who couldn’t be mean back. But when you really love somebody, you fight with them. There have been times where I’ve said, ‘We should go to couples therapy.’”

Despite all of the winter related issues and behind the scenes drama, everything seems to have turned out for the best as the latest trailer for the upcoming flick looks quite impressive.

Joy, which also stars Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper, is set to hit theaters on December 25.
